Bottoming & Platform Cloths

Bottom cloth is used on the base of chair seats, where a cushion is used on top or on the underside of the chair to keep UV and dust from rotting the webbing and fillings. Not only does it protect the chair fabric from the effects of time, but adds a professional finish to every upholstery project.

All bottom cloth fabrics are fire retardant, which in some cases are necessary in order to make a non-FR top fabric (minimum content 75% natural fibres) conform to British Fire Regulations.
